Support Services For Holding Conventions

The Foundation of Sendai Tourism Convention Society actively promotes and supports international and national scale conventions.

1．Support for holding conventions in Sendai city

【Subsidies】
We aid organizers holding conventions in Sendai city. Up to 10% of the convention's expenses.
1・International science conferences－aid up to 800 thousand yen. (The number of participants have to be more than 100, also 10% of them have to be foreigners.)
2・Domestic and international conferences－aid up to 2 million yen. (It depends on the number of participants.)

【Materials】
We provide a brochure for promotion and a guide of facilities for conventions. We also rent film, VCRs and slide projectors for presentations. (In both Japanese and English)

2．Support for preparation of conventions

【Loans】
We advance 20% of entire expense of each convention in the maximum amount of 2 million yen with no-interest payable. The term of the loan is 2 years from 2 years before the starting of a convention to 2 months after the end of a convention.

【Facilities and accommodation】
We assist in finding and choosing facilities for conventions, exhibitions, hotels and so on.

【Affiliated companies (supporting members)】
We introduce affiliated companies: conference managing companies; travel agencies;Translators; souvenir stores; etc. to manage conventions smoothly.

■Information about excursions, accompanying programs and entertainment
■Providing an easy-convention-manual

3．Support during conventions

■Conducting public relations with media.
■Providing brochures and convention bags.
The convention bag contains our original map with discount tickets for cultural tourist attractions and information.

※500 convention bags are provided for free, over 500 costs 50 yen for each. ※The bag is provided for conventions in which more than half of the participants are expected to come from outside of the prefecture.

Various pamphlets can be claimed．
