Take the Miyagi-Kotsu bus for Akiu-Onsen at bay No. 8, West Bus Pool of JR Sendai Station. It is about a 50 minute trip. Get off at "Akiu-Bunka-no-Sato Center"

About a 30 minute drive from JR Sendai Station on the Nishi Road.
About 20 minutes from the Sendai Miyagi I.C.
About 15 minutes from the Sendai Minami I.C.

Located in Futakuchi Gorge, which is part of Zao Quasi-national Park and is also designated as a Prefectural National Park. The surroundings are rich with natural scenery. Panels, topographic models and multi-slide shows are used to attract visitors to the surrounding natural beauty. Events such as the Nature Observation Tour are scheduled. Apply at the center for the Futakuchi Camp Site and fill out a card to climb Mt. Daito-dake.

【Getting there】
■Train and bus
From JR Sendai Station, take the Senzan Line and get off at Ayashi Station (16 minutes on a rapid train). Transfer to the Sendai City bus for Futakuchi-Onsen. It's about a 35 minute trip.
■Car
About a 40 minute drive from the Sendai Minami I. C. on Route 256.
About 30 minutes from Akiu Hot Springs.
About 45 minutes from the Sendai Miyagi I.C. via Shirasawa on Route 48.
